Had an incredible weekend. I'm far from a patriot, but I'm grateful for opportunity and idealism.

A new 4th of July (the 233rd).

A new president.

A somewhat renewed country.

There will always be problems with America and (of course) the excesses of Americans, but it seems that the good qualities are starting to peek out and overpower the shadows after a long, cold winter.
