The month of July should be a relatively relaxing one.

Had an incredible weekend. I'm far from a patriot, but I'm grateful for opportunity and idealism.
A new 4th of July (the 233rd).
A new president.A somewhat renewed country.
There will always be problems with America and (of course) the excesses of Americans, but it seems that the good qualities are starting to peek out and overpower the shadows after a long, cold winter.

The Statue of Liberty...in LA.
Drove on the Pacific Coast Highway for the first time in my life today, after having lived on it for a combined total of nearly 2 years. My helmet almost flew off, and the wind made my eyes uncomfortably like the very ocean they were staring at. Other than that, it was a glorious drive. For all its quirks, some moments I just have to say that I love LA.
My brief escapade came to an end at Westward Beach, also apparently Liberty Island:
Yes indeed, the very beach where the final scene of Planet of the Apes (1968) was filmed. Epic.

"What is real? This is a silly question. Reality is all around us, both tangible and intangible. The first step towards realizing your universe is understanding what it means to realize. This is not mere comprehension, but transforming thoughts into action in accordance with the will. One can either be conscious or unconscious of their will, but it still is birthing things on this material plane. Thus, every reality was once a thought. This is of the highest importance.
Once a thought becomes a reality, we can reflect upon these realities and develop new and combined thoughts. These then in turn become realities in their own right. As a result, no thought is really new, and every combined thought (and its accompanying combined reality) can be broken down into elementary thoughts."
